This is a great bold statement lipstick, its dark red but a bit brown at the same time. I feel this dark lipstick gives off a bit of a rock chic or Gothic look, which is great for a night out on the town. I tend to find that this colour really suits blonde's, as a good contrast. Great combination with a smoky eye look.
I’ve selected this lipstick as you can’t go wrong with a nude lipstick in your make-up bag. It’s a ultra-pale pastel pink colour, which can complement any skin tone. I like this shade as it’s great for everyday wear, as it doesn’t give too much away. Myth is very light on the lips and gives a shine finish.
You need to be very confident to wear this lipstick. You will most definitely grab attention wearing this shade, given the statement colour. This is my favourite lipstick at the moment, given the purple colour. It is believed purple is a universally flattering shade for all skin tones – so go on give it a go!
Lipstick Advice Pointers
1. Believe in wearing any colour of lipstick through the year, team it with your style and outfit.
2. Buy ‘matte’ lipsticks, for long lasting and for minimal reapplying on a night out. As I find that satin lipsticks tends to rub off fairly quickly.
3. If you decide to wear a bold or statement colour lipstick, for example the MAC Heroine lipstick I’ve recommended, go for natural colours on the eyes to give that flawless look, and don’t go overboard on the mascara, eye liner or drawing on eyebrows. I find that the lipstick says it all.
4. Apply a thin layer of lipstick on the lips initially, if you want to test a colour. Apply on top lip and rub lips. That will give you an indication whether or not to add another layer.
