Going Green for Ireland - Leprechaun Costume

As you all know I'm Irish and very proud! As it was St Patricks Day yesterday (17th March), I went to a party dressed as a leprechaun to celebrate the occasion, this was the outcome using my creative skills. Although you might have seen a sneak peak of my costume on my twitter account Top Style Advice using the hashtag #GoGreen4StPatrick.

I actually made the Leprechaun waistcoat top, I recycled an elf costume I had, cut it up and sowed on a shamrock badge, buttons, bells and a gold chain to it. Then to keep the rest of the outfit simple I wore black leggings and my Kurt Geiger nude heels which have a gold ankle strap chain detail. Then for the hair I bought a leprechaun hat from the fancy dress shop with a netting fasinator which I clipped to the side. For my make-up I used Loreal pear drop eye shadow and matching nail colour.

My boyfriend Dave, was really funny with the glued on ginger eyebrows and beard. I love the fact that he has a pint of guiness in his hand as well! Celebrating true Irish style, by the way its worth noting he isnt Irish ha!
