How to Get Curly, Smooth and Silky Hair..

I like to curl my hair a lot and people often ask how I get it to sit nicely and stay curly through-out the day. So I decided to do this post to share my routine with you all and also to fill you all in on some amazing hair products I've been using recently.

The process

Washing hair

Recently I received Shampoo and Conditioner from AreaH20 to try out and get my opinion on. These products were designed to combat the effects of mineral deposits from different water types, as hard and soft water can have different effects on your hair. The products work to attract the mineral deposits and wash them away. This will give you cleaner, shiner, silky smooth hair. The thing I love about these products is that they are really unique and I've not seen or even heard about any products similar.

After the first week of using these products I felt that my hair wasn't as smooth as I imagined, as I'm so used to using hair masks instead of conditioner. However, I tested these products for approx.3 weeks and I started to see results after a few washes. My hair wasn't getting as fussy and was feeling silky smooth. I'm glad I got to test these as I found products now that I can add to my hair cleaning / styling routine.

If you look at the above picture, you can see how silky my hair has become in the last picture in comparison to the picture in the left from using these products. Find out more at http://www.areah2o.co.uk, for either coloured or normal hair. Please do check whether your area is hard or soft water before purchasing.

Styling

I spray Vo5 Gel Volume Boost Spray and TRESemme` Iron Style and Hold Spray into my hair for volume and heat protection.

I use ghd's to curl my hair, I can appreciate that this may be a bit tricky for some people. However, believe me you do get the hang of it. Firstly, I section my hair into four sections and fasten together with hair clips, then take each section and spilt into three parts and take each part and then place the ghds on the root of the hair gentle twist the straighteners around and then run the straighteners down each piece of hair whilst twisted around the iron. Repeat for each section and use hairspray to keep in place.

Have you got a styling secret and what products to do you use?
