Review: Hotel Chocolat.

Everyone always hits the healthy eating diet and exercise regime after Christmas and New Year, I'm usually the opposite. I never eat loads at Christmas, the dinner is all I can handle, so once the turkey is out of the picture I usually feast on luxury food and Chocolates. Little did I know that I was going to be one of the lucky UK bloggers selected to review some luxury chocolates from Hotel Chocolat. I got so excited waiting for my parcel to arrive to test them and share my thoughts with you.

As you can see from my pictures, I received some lovely chocolates in lovely packaging. As you can imagine that this was a really treat. I also thought of making good use of my lovely cake stand and spread the chocolates on it, I got the stand as a Christmas present from my lovely friend Maria.

The chocolate goody bag included the following:
Billionare's shortbread -  chocolate, caramel, cookies and silky smooth praline.
Drops gemstones - pure chocolate fusions of white and dark chocolate.
Eton mess - with strawberry and vanilla chocolate, cookies, meringue and strawberry pieces.
Smiley face lolly - milk chocolate lolly.
Salted caramels - soft caramel filled chocolates with a pinch of sea salt.

My favourite has to be with hands down, the Billionare's Shortbread. They were so tasty and went great with a good cup of tea. I tested these with my fella and he loved the Caramels, Eton Mess and also the Shortbread. We've already been on the site looking to purchase some luxury treats and try the full range! These chocolates are of the highest quality and ingredients I have ever tasted and you can tell so much thought has been put into each individual chocolate.

Hotel Chocolat is for the Millennium Hotel Chain. I would love to visit the this Manchester hotel, As you could see from my present spa break at Oulton Hall in Leeds, I do love my luxury getaway breaks as well as luxury chocolates. I hope I can get to visit Millennium Hotel in Manchester some day.

Do you have a favourite luxury chocolate, will you be trying these chocolates out?

  1. Lovely chocolates and good review, love the pretty cake stand.

PS - Thank you for the comment on my blog, do keep in touch.

  2. Hotel Chocolat is AMAZING - think it has to be one of my favourite types - I'm a chocolate fiend though wish I could take it or leave it.

I have to admit though I'm not a fan of salted caramels.
